BE BUSY BEING QUIET – 5 helpful tips.

Anyone who writes a blog or posts helpful messages on social media will be aware that not all readers ‘like’ or leave a comment.  We are ok with this, as it is our intention to help and we understand that not everyone is comfortable with publicly displaying their thoughts.

For me, it’s all about getting a message out there, that life can be better,  different choices can be made,  all goals can be reached,  peace, joy and calm are but a few breaths away!  During recent conversations, it cropped up how the lessons I’ve been teaching have directly helped others. One great big smile, several air punches and a rather loud ‘Yessssssssss’ later, I felt so chuffed to have made a difference.

It reinforces that what I’m doing is worthwhile. Life is about listening out for signs and messages to spur us on or help us make a change. Sounds easy…it is, when you adopt a life with quiet moments. If your life is super hectic without a spare moment, it will be nigh on impossible to recognise your life hints.

You could begin by using these 5 helpful tips to a quiet mind.
1. Whenever possible, take 3 deep breaths, bringing all your attention to the breath; you can have your eyes open or closed, whichever is comfortable for you.

2. Use car journeys to be quiet, no radio, no phone calls.

3. Switch off your phone for at least one hour per day.

4.Choose which programmes you really want to watch on TV and switch it off the rest of the time.

5. Get as much fresh air each day as you can and carefully choose something to focus on, e.g., the sky, a tree, a building. It will help to quiet the mind and clear some space.

As I’ve mentioned before, meditation isn’t hard, it’s the commitment to continue your practise that’s difficult. Likewise with the above,  but please remember small changes carried out with conviction will soon become big changes.

With love,

Glynnis x
