HAVE YOUR BEACH & ENJOY IT

I love living in the Lake District, but my heart sings when I’m beside the sea. Sadly, the girl can’t always get to the beach, so I brought the beach to the girl. I’m a little obsessive about collecting pebbles and shells, so we designated one area in our garden for my collectables, complete with driftwood collected in North Wales, one particular piece from a coveted beach hut that fell prey to a giant storm.
This is now my homage to the sea!

So this morning, as the sun shone on my beach, I chose not to wash up but to seize the moment. Sitting comfortably, with the sun shining on my face and the pebbles beneath my feet, I visualised my favourite stretch of whistly sand and… for ten minutes the girl did get to go to the beach!
