BALANCE
In the moment of meditation, one is able to achieve peace and calm. A wonderful state of rest. When you sit still, when you close your eyes, when you quieten your mind, all becomes well. Some people argue, you can’t spend your life meditating, zoning out… Get in the real world!
I am in the real world!
Meditation has a cumulative effect, i.e. It all adds up!
Whether you start your practice with one deep breath, 5 mins once a week or 20 mins twice a day! Each meditation builds on the last.
The real beautiful part of meditation is that slowly, but surely, you begin to experience positive life changes …not just in the ‘closed eyes’ moment.
It is subtle, and it creeps up on you, but soon you can adopt calm in stressful situations, be mindful of the beauty around you, experience more gratitude, be more productive, and value the small things.
You find balance.
My balance isn’t just meditation, I nourish my body with good food, stretch and tone with Yoga and Pilates. Swim and walk. Connect with nature. Help others. Encourage my creative me.
But hey… I’m no angel. I make mistakes, lose my way, say the wrong thing, forget appointments, etc. The one thing I never forget, though, is how lucky I am to have found meditation and how it’s improved my life and how I can forgive myself and learn from my life hiccups.
I am in the real world, and I love it.
With love,
