A MINDFUL MOMENT
Choose an activity.
It can be washing up, folding the washing, sweeping the patio, whatever you wish. I’m choosing washing up!
Allow yourself to be present, to engage with your breath.
Feel your feet on the ground.
Notice the temperature of the water.
Feel the water, the crockery, pots and pans.
Notice the shape and colour of each item as you wash each one. Is there a pattern? Are they old/new? Are the bubbles disappearing? Can you notice the water getting cooler?
Keep your focus on washing up.
Allow other thoughts to drift away.
Notice the breath.
Enjoy the feeling of just focusing on one task.
Feel your feet on the ground.
