REST SOME MORE

I had every intention in the New Year to hit the ground running, alas, that hasn’t happened. It’s the first time since my illness that I’ve been so poorly. From my many lessons learnt, I was able to listen to my body, rest, hydrate and rest some more.

I’m not going to lie, I did feel a little sorry for myself. But I knew, as before, recovery was in my hands. I managed to roll off the sofa and form a child pose, adapt my meditations to account for my rattly breath, raise my mood by watching funny films (even though I didn’t feel like it) and eat good, nourishing food.

I saw this swan on my first walk out in two weeks, and it made me giggle, that’s how I’d felt! So now I’m on the mend and reflecting that whilst a virus and an abscess in the gum (forgot to mention that … less said the better!) were not pleasant, I’ve been forced to rest, take stock and sharpen up my self-care. I’m also loving that I can take a positive out of a negative.

You have my sympathy if you’re poorly just now. I hope you can take heart from my recovery and truly nurture yourself.

With love,

Glynnis x

Ps Thank you, Charlie, Anoushka and Alison, for the lemon, honey and ginger linctus recipe, it worked a treat.
