FOUR HOLISTIC WAYS TO HAVE SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN
Half-term holidays mean I can spend precious time with my nephews and niece 6,8 and 10.
1. Get baking! We had great fun making energy balls, all totally natural and delicious. Nothing synthetic here, eat well and you will live well.
2. Find a shady spot. My ‘beach’ in the garden sits under a Japanese Maple tree. We chatted about my collected pebbles and shells, our beach memories, and whilst I made lunch, their reading books made an appearance, my heart melted! By talking and more importantly listening, you are able to promote a childs self confidence.
3. Have an adventure. We hopped in the car to visit Brockhole. Sadly, the car park was full, so I had to think fast, so we headed to the YHA and found a wonderful wood, where we made a little den for the woodland wildlife. There might not be any wifi but we all felt totally connected.
4. Try a moment of meditation. I am amazed, but I did actually manage to get these 3 meditating all at the same time and… they loved it. We lit an aromatherapy candle, chose some soothing music and focused on the breath. For a few moments, you are able to rest, clear your head and become calm.
We’ve had a beautiful day, I can’t wait for next time!
With love,
