GRATITUDE

Sit comfortably.

Allow the body to relax.

If it feels right, softly close your eyes.

Bring all your attention to the breath.

Breathing in – breathing out.

Keep your focus on the breath, being aware of the rise and fall of the body.

Take one long, deep breath.

Now allow your mind to think about the things in your life that bring forward a feeling of gratitude.

Continue with this, rolling from one thought of gratitude to the other. Remember, there is no right or wrong; these are your thoughts, and whether they are profound, funny, insignificant or far-reaching, these are your feelings of gratitude, and they are totally valuable to you.

Stay with this meditation for as long as you wish.

When you are ready, begin to wiggle your fingers and toes. Slowly open your eyes.

Have a good stretch.

Take a sip of water.
